Essex Energy Italy is set to co-host a booth with Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire in Hall 5-Row C13 during the Coiltech International Fair, being held Sept. 20-21 in Pordenone, Italy.
Coiltech will showcase the latest innovations in the energy market and is the leading event for materials and machinery in the production and maintenance of electric motors, generators, transformers, and windings. The fair brings together top companies from all over the world to discuss the latest trends and technologies.
Members of leadership for both Essex Energy Italy and Essex Furukawa will be on hand to discuss the evolution of the energy market, key projects, and expansion of operations at the Quattordio, Italy plant.
“One key highlight for us, is that Essex Energy Italy has started the production of Aluminum Keystones,” Eric Laurent, Head of Strategy and Marketing in Europe, said. “That is a significant development in the industry, as it will help to meet the increasing demand for energy and support its growth.”
The energy market in Europe is steadily expanding, driven by increased demand and the rise of green energy production facilities. The growth rate for 2023 is expected to be around 10%, with customers anticipating a continuous trendline for the next five years.
The Quattordio plant is working to support its customers within this market by offering unique CTC solutions and broadening its product range. It is proactively addressing the availability of copper cathodes to ensure production capacity and stability in the market. It is also ready to increase its output of paper-wrapped conductor within the first quarter of 2024.
In addition, two major projects are underway in Europe that are being supported by the Essex Energy Italy team.
The Tyrrhenian-link, an underwater cable that will connect Sicily with Sardinia and the Italian peninsula, is a new electricity corridor in the region. At 2000m depth, it is the deepest subsea power cable in the Mediterranean, with a capacity of 1000 MW. This is an infrastructure initiative of international significance, and another step towards a more sustainable energy future.
NeuConnect will create the first direct power link between Germany and Great Britain, connecting two of the largest energy markets in Europe for the first time. The project will allow up to 1.4GW of electricity to move in either direction, enough to power up to 1.5 million homes over the life of the project.
“The Coiltech International Fair will be the perfect platform to showcase these innovations and discuss the latest trends in the energy market,” Laurent said. “With the industry growing at a steady pace, there has never been a better time to be a part of this exciting and dynamic industry.”
Essex Energy Italy and Essex Furukawa sales and technical teams will be on location and available to discuss Automotive, Industry, Commercial, Residential, and Energy applications as well as share the latest innovations in magnet/winding wire.
